As you may know, a contingency of CVT membership renewal is the submittal of 12 hours CE per year. However, due to the fact that CTVTA was just recently formed and most have only been members for a few months we are deferring CE requirements until the end of the 2019 membership year. Membership renewal fees are still requires for 2018 in order to keep your CVT membership.  All 2018 membership renewal fees will still be due on December 31st. Please keep track of you CE hours throughout 2018.  CE requirements for the 2019 membership renewal will be as follows:

Veterinary Technicians are required to complete a total of twelve (12) continuing education units (CEU) per calendar year in order to maintain Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) status through the Connecticut Veterinary Technician Association (CTVTA). A minimum of six CE credits must be from a physical venue (conference/seminar/symposium, in-house CE, selected electronic courses). Six credits can be from online venues. Up to one-quarter of the annual CEU requirement (3.0 CEUs) may be earned as an instructor. Continuing Education is defined as education provided for adults outside of the formal education system, consisting of seminars, courses, lectures, or labs that bring participants up to date in a particular area of knowledge or set of skills.
